What does it mean to be a member of Odsal Ling?
Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche said many times that the sangha is the arms and legs of the lama. The sangha helps provide the support necessary to enact the activities of the dharma, and the virtue of this great field of merit creates an environment of positive conditions and wisdom not only for the sangha but for the whole community. The activities of Odsal Ling – teachings, retreats and daily practices – as well as the ongoing maintenance of the city center and the Temple, are all accomplished thanks to the efforts and support of the members.
“Even if they give just one cent, people should have the motivation to put a drop of water in the ocean. A drop of water on its own will easily evaporate, but in the ocean it will always remain.” (Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche)
Becoming a member:
To become a member, you can make a monthly commitment for any amount you feel you can support. Any amount will be very helpful to the activities of Odsal Ling.
To have the benefit of the Dharma Stream program, however, it is necessary to make a 6-month pledge, in one of the following categories:
Regular Member
Monthly contribution: US$ 25
Supporting Member
Monthly contribution: US$ 50
Sponsor Member
Monthly contribution: above US$ 54
To access Dharma Stream:
- Subscribe as a member of Odsal Ling for 6 months. If you are already a member or sponsor, simply let us know that you wish to join the program.
- After registering, you will receive an email with instructions about the payment.
- When your subscription is confirmed, you will receive your login and password via email.
- As a membership benefit you can then access the teachings at Dharma Stream using the access information above
Note: The password is provided on an individual basis. If you would like to invite others to listen to the teachings, we suggest you request a contribution of $ 5.00, which creates the positive interdependence of offering for those that attend the teaching as well as providing support for the services.
To receive the Dharma Stream as a registered Chagdud Gonpa Sangha:
- We ask that only sanghas without a resident lama apply
- The coordinator of the sangha requests and receives a password
- He or she informs the sangha about the teaching schedule and invites them to listen to the teachings
- The sangha coordinator is responsible for requesting a a suggested $ 5.00 donation from each participant for the teaching and forwarding it to Rigdzin Ling (click here to send an email)
