For centuries, buddhas, bodhisatvas and great masters have built sacred places, retreat lands and temples to offer people the opportunity to receive authentic teachings and immerse themselves in traditional Buddhist daily life. This immersion gives us the chance to cultivate wisdom by the practice of profound methods that come to us thanks to the kindness and blessings of our precious guru Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche and his lineage.

The Odsal Ling "Resident Program" will begin in January 2010. The program is designed to help students, motivated by compassion and pure heart, to develop view, meditation and action. These tools can be applied in their daily activities to build a life based on patience, love and caring for others.

The Odsal Ling Resident Program, directed by Lama Tsering Everest, will start with teachings and training in Bodhisattva Action. A Bodhisattva is one who establishes the commitment to train her own mind in order to bring benefits to others.

Training in the daily practices and ritual arts as implemented by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche will be included for those who are eligible.

The Program is intended to last for six months, but participants may opt to stay for a shorter period of time.

One option is to register for the month of January - a period of extensive teachings, which include: Bodhisattva Action, Red Tara and Ngondro retreats (the latter is not included in the matriculation fees).

Another option is to register for a period other than January, from one to six months in duration.  Those who register for a period of three or more months will be be entitled to participate in any teachings given by Lama Tsering during the period, without any additional fees (except those for which the practitioner is not qualified).
